Preggers friends – you can thank me later 🙂
American culture is big on ignoring what their body is telling them. I’m working on getting better at that.
I’m frustrated and confused. I eat healthy when I’m hungry. I exercise as much as I can. I’m high risk, and with the concerns over POTS, MTHFR, and covid-19 and not being able to get groceries delivered in a good time frame and keeping my little guy safe, I’m angry that I feel so helpless where my diet is concerned and that I can’t seem to get a straight, realistic answer out of my medical team.
I didn’t understand what went wrong. I was doing so well. Had I pushed too hard? Had I gone too fast? Was it too soon after being sick?
None of the above.
I was just pregnant.
Versatile, filling, fast and easy to whip up when winter goes into hiding unexpectedly.
I made an active decision to commit to this experience – completely unplugged.
I’m tired of advice on my illness, so I set out to try to find out how to stop letting it mess with my head.
I’ve never been to Hawaii. I’ve also never consumed true Polynesian food. Take that as your pinch salt as you cook this sweet-spicy-savory mash-up dish that has literally become my new favorite and go-to for a quick, satisfying, whole food dinner. Or lunch. Or probably even breakfast.
I need comfort food. STAT. Que guilty comfort food pleasure of junky, deep-fried and saucy Americanized Chinese food!
